My Music!!!

I finally got a play list up!! I am way excited because I can put all of the songs that I love onto my blog. Hopefully you all like the songs I put on as well. As you can tell, I am a major David Archuleta fan. Especially his new album!!

And a big High School Musical Fan!!! Even though I am still waiting to see the third one.

What can I say? I am a sucker for cheesy, cute things that make me feel happy inside. In fact, I went tonight with Jerrica to Walmart and got a High School Musical shirt for $1!! It even lights up....

Wow. I am a nerd.

Temple Square

I went on a date last night to temple square with Hoyt. It was freezing, but it was absolutely beautiful!! The roads were not the funnest to drive on, but we made it there and back safely. We also went and saw the Joseph Smith Movie, which was so so so amazing. I loved it. The date was way fun, and here are some fun pictures of what it looked like.

It was snowing so hard when we first got there. Brrrrr.....

Can you say Gorgeous?!! The temple was incredible.

Here we are. From left to right is Amy, Bret, Hoyt, Me

Poinsettia

This is the lamest post ever, but I have one more poinsettia to sell for my floral design class. They are $7 and so, if any of you want one I can get it for you. They are really pretty, and you even get to choose what color of foil and ribbon you want! You are not obligated at all, I am just putting it out there.... :)
I could never be a salesperson!! I hate selling anything of any kind to anyone. But if you are interested just leave a comment on my blog. Love you all!!

The Dread of My Life

Calculus. That sums up most of the problems in my life at the present. Calculus. Don't get me wrong, I am so grateful that we have it in this world because it is essential, but I hate it all the same!! This week we have been learning an especially difficult concept called Optimization. All I can say is thank heavens that my older brother Ammon understands it and is willing to teach me, or try to teach me :) This Saturday Ammon and I spent literally 7 1/2 hours on two assignments. My brain was on fire, I had a headache, and I had hardly gotten ready for the day at all. Ammon thanks so much!!! I could not have done it without you. The funny thing is, even though we spent that long we could not figure out some of the problems. Isn't that ridiculous?!! I am counting the hours I spend in that class until Christmas Break... wow, only 61/2 hours of class time.... who knows how much homework time?? So there you go, the trial of my life. The cool thing about this whole class is that if I pass the AP test it is possible that I will never have to take another hard math class again. Hoorah!! The only question is, Can I make it through till May?? As bad as I want to transfer out, I want to try to conquer this. With the help of Ammon and Heavenly Father, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.... Wish me luck!!

The Halloween Party!

The Cordner Halloween Party is an event that I have long awaited. You see, one finally qualifies to go when they turn 16 years old and are able to take a date. I asked my friend Hoyt to be my date. This year it was a murder mystery party and so we were all assigned specific characters that we were supposed to dress up as. I was a maid named Ima Gudsweeper and Hoyt was a police officer named Chief Clint Callahan. We had a fabulous 4-course dinner and played lots of fun games in between. No, neither of us were the murderers (phew!) but we did find out at the end of the night that I was a ghost :) Here are some pictures of us....

This is us during one of the courses of dinner.
(P.S. the girl next to me is Jessica, Ammons date.)

This is me and Hoyt. You can't really tell what he looks like through the fake mustache, but he is quite handsome ;)

It was probably one of the funnest dates I have ever been on. I had a blast!!

p.s. I missed you Shelley! We were thinkin about ya! Love you

End of Term Scramble

This week is the end of the term a.k.a. student torture week. I have already had one test and I have four more before Friday at 2:15 p.m. No offense to any teachers out there, but what the heck are they thinking?? I think they should try to not pile every final for the last 4 days of the term :) Every student in the school, including myself, is just pushing through these next few days praying that their grades will not be totally busted haha. I am really looking forward to a fun Friday night though. I have our Cordner family adult Halloween party and since I am sixteen I now qualify to take a date. It is going to be so much fun and I am really excited since I have the best date EVER, hee hee. Anyway, this is kind of a lame blog but I just had to vent a little bit. More exciting ones to come!!

A Midnight Spa

A little while ago my parents went out to shop for Tanner's birthday. As a result, Tanner and I got to take care of the little girls while they were away. We wanted to do something special for them to make the night extra fun! I, being a girl, love to dress and primp the girls as much as they will let me, so I suggested the idea of surprising them with a 'spa'. Tanner was not very thrilled. But I am very convincing :) , and eventually talked him into it. We had decided this privately, so the girls were anxious to find out what we would be doing. While Tanner started setting up pillows, I took the girls and got their pajamas and robes on, so that they would be as comfortable as possible. We secretly got all of the supplies and then took them to the spa. This is how it turned out:

This is them at the beginning. (Don't you love the cucumbers??!) As you can see, Quinci was laughing so hard that the cucumbers were coming off.

Here is a close up.... Britta was in absolute heaven. We were hers to command and she knew it!!

We even put cotton balls in between their toes!!

Here is Tanner rubbing Quinci's arms with lotion.

It was really fun!! We painted their toenails and rubbed them with lotion and even played nice music in the background.

I love my sisters so much!! I am so grateful for the examples they are to me every day. I love their kisses and hugs. They are both growing up so fast and it is so fun to watch and see how they are becoming beautiful young girls!! I hope they had as good a night as I did.
P.S. Thanks to Tanner for being such a good sport during a "girls night!" I love you Tan!

Homecoming!!

I am finally going to blog about my fun homecoming experience!! So here goes..... I was asked by one of my good friends named Brian. He asked me by toilet papering my house and then having me unscramble the letters of his name, which were on individual pieces of toilet paper.
I answered him by freezing a message inside of four 1- gallon jugs that said "Maybe you should look under your mattress." He had to thaw/ smash the ice to get the answer, but the answer was on a candy bar under his mattress the whole time. It was half the fun getting asked and answering him back hahaha. Not really, but it was fun. So instead of having one day date on Saturday and then going to the dance on Saturday night, the boys in our group decided that we would have three dates all together: one on Friday night, one on Saturday in the day, and then go to dinner and the dance on Saturday night. For our Friday night date we went to a BYU fireside that was held at the AF tabernacle (Bronco Mendenhall and some of the other BYU football players spoke) and then we went to JCW's for shakes afterwords. Yummmm!!!! Then for our Saturday day date we went over to one of the boy's houses and watched the BYU game :) (can you tell that all of these boys are true blue BYU fans???) I was a little nervous, especially since when it comes to football I am not the most knowledgeable, but it was actually a lot of fun. I got home at about 3:45 and Lindsey and Mica went to work on making me look like a princess!! They succeeded and I was done primping just in time for Brian to pick me up at 6:30 to go to dinner. Thanks to Mica and Lindsey for helping out, I felt so pretty!!! Here are my pictures, even though they did not turn out as good as I had hoped:

This is me in my dress waiting for him to come

The boys surprised us by getting us corsages

Brian and me

We went to dinner at one of the boy's grandparent's house and had a delicious 3-course meal. At about 9:00 we headed to the dance and had a blast being crazy and wearing ourselves out. All in all, it was a very fun date, and I couldn't have asked for a better Homecoming experience.

A Recap of My Week

I have realized over the last week that I am kind of a boring person. Not in a bad way, I just don't have very interesting things to write about. Therefore, I am writing about my very eventful week (I couldn't think of anything better!) Well, the drivers ed people finally called me, so I started out the week leaving for the high school at 5:45 a.m. in order to do the 'road practice' with the advisers. I got there and waited.... and waited... only for them to tell me that the other two kids had slacked off (not shown up) and I would have to go home and come back on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, same time :-( Let's just say that my parents and I were slightly bugged since I should have been done with this weeks ago. But oh well. The rest of Monday was fairly normal, I sat through classes, doodled on paper when I was bored, and thought about boys, well....mostly one boy :-) On Tuesday I had the REAL road practice, and then I headed off to take my first AP Calculus test of the year (yuck!) Here it is: It actually went very well, and I got a 90%!!! After school I went with my mom and my siblings and I purchased my Homecoming dress. (isn't it cute??) On Wednesday I took the road TEST and I passed!!! That means that as soon as I finish my personal progress, I can go to the DMV and pick up my license!! I am hoping to get it in a week or two and I am so excited. Thursday was boring, nothing spectacular happened. Friday was a lot of fun because Ammon, me, Hoyt, and Jessica hung out and watched 'Whats Up Doc?' and talked and laughed till 11:30 at night. What would I do without Friday nights??? Saturday was good as well because my family went over to our neighbors' house to watch the BYU game and eat junk. (well, not Ammon hee hee, he got to eat veggies) By the way Happy Birthday to Lindsey!!!!!! I LOVE YOU LINDS!! Anyway, sorry this is such a random post I will try to get a more exciting one up soon!!

Summer Memories

Well, the summer is unfortunately over and a new school year has begun. As much as I love school, there is just something about summer that I am never quite ready to give up. I had a wonderful summer though and here are some of my favorite summer memories:

Playing board games with my brothers

The Strawberry Days Parade

Girls Camp- this is Jerrica and I in our cabin

Britta finding a snake in the front yard

Lagoon- me and Tanner playin' around at Lagoona Beach

and finally.......

TURNING SIXTEEN!!!!!

AND... my first date!

All in all: my summer was fabulous.
